TwelveLittle Courage

Before I begin this week’s review, I wanted to share my sincere appreciation of moms (and dads) with multiple children in cloth diapers. While you are saving so much space in our landfills by not using disposable diapers, you are also adding a lot more to your packing list and literally adding more weight on top of your shoulders.

I’ve been asked to review bags I feel will work for families of multiples, and I think this week’s bag is an amazing one for a family with twins (or 2 in cloth). I’d like to introduce you to the TWELVElittle Unisex Courage Backpack. We packed this bad boy up and went to the zoo to really see how it held up to the very big packing list.

This week’s packing list includes:

  • 12 diaper changes (12 soakers, 4 covers)
  • 2 wet/dry bags
  • Wipes case
  • 2 outfit changes
  • 2 sippy cups
  • 2 glass food jars
  • 2 bibs
  • 2 spoons
  • 2 books
  • 4 toys
  • wallet
  • sunglasses
  • makeup clutch

TWELVElittle has some seriously cute little wonders on the inside of their bags. If you’re not familiar with the Chinese Zodiac, check out this page on their site to find your inner animal (http://twelvelittle.com/12-little-wonders/) After looking at the cute little animals, you’ll notice there’s 2 deep pouches on the front of the interior compartment with a zipper pocket at the top. There’s also a spacious, padded pocket on the backpack side that will easily fit a laptop or tablet.

I opted to use the laptop section for my wet bags. No one likes digging for a wet bag.

When I pack a backpack, I tend to pack in layers. For my first layer of packing for twins, I opted to include 2 covers and 6 inserts, both glass food jars, and the blanket.

In the pouches, I was sure to put my diaper cream and wallet. I get a tad nervous when I don’t know where either of those are. I then opted to put the first aid supplies, bibs, and spoons in the zippered pocket at the top so they didn’t get lost.

For the second layer, I put another 6 changes alongside the board books and toys.

The last layer included my sunglasses and makeup pouch.

In the front of the bag, there are 2 zippered pockets. The larger one in the front perfectly houses the included changing pad with 2 outfit changes.

The top pocket is perfect for keys and a phone.

TWELVElittle also has an awesome feature on the back of every single one of their bags. They have a hidden zipper compartment! This compartment is PERFECT for keeping wipes handy and easily accommodates my bulky wipes case.

Now, with this bag being super stuffed, you’d be concerned about being able to fit a bottle on the side, right? Well, no problem at all! The insulated pockets on the sides can still fit my gigantic sippy cups.

Poor planning on my part meant that mom got stuck carrying her own water bottle. Oops! I could have put it in the bag instead of sunglasses and makeup, though. And even though this bag was super stuffed to the brim, it really didn’t change much structurally and I really appreciated that. It was still easy to carry on my back while lugging the stroller and my toddler up the subway stairs of Manhattan.

I now realize why so many of you love backpacks. Another thing I really like about this bag is that it is gender neutral and is unisex. I cannot imagine dad having any problems carrying this beaut and really think it would make an excellent Father’s Day gift for the new dad in your life. Be sure to check out their site and to follow them on Facebook and Instagram as they have a great Father’s Day sale coming up!
