This week, I am featuring another alternative to the traditional diaper bag. Built NY was so gracious and sent me their Essential Neoprene Tote to review. At first glance, I was a little skeptical about the capacity of this bag. It looked like a laptop tote from my days in college. But, after packing it up, I am pleasantly surprised by how much it can fit.
This week’s contents include:
- 6 diaper changes (6 soakers, 2 covers)
- 1 wet bag
- wipes
- shopping bag
- changing pad
- wallet
- water bottle
- sippy cup
- first aid kit
- bib
- board book
- 2 toys
- glass food jar
- sunglasses
- cell phone
- muslin blanket
This bag has a few interior organizing pockets- one that zips and 2 that are open on the side and great for a phone or ipod. Once again, I packed this bag up in layers. The first layer included my diaper changes, wet bag, wallet, wipes, changing pad, and sippy cup.
I utilized the small zippered pocket for the small things I always manage to lose like my Advil, diaper cream, and tide to go pen. It’s also a great place to stash keys.
I used the non zippered pockets for my phone and board book and made my second layer of things. For a minute, it looks like they will not fit, but I assure you, they do. Scroll down, there’s proof 😉
This is a great little bag, especially for the mom on the go. The stretchy neoprene is forgiving to over-stuffing, is very lightweight, and easy to clean. It has a great handle drop length, so it can sit comfortably on your should when out and about.
