OiOi Carry All

This week I’m reviewing the gorgeous OiOi Carry All Diaper Bag in Faux Buffalo (vegan leather). Aesthetically, this bag is stunning! The material is luxuriously soft and wipes clean with a damp cloth. Functionally, this bag is great with so many pockets. It is super helpful for organization and surprisingly spacious without being over-sized. This bag also comes with some great accessories: removable stroller and shoulder straps, a wipes case, an insulated bottle holder, a clear wet bag, and a large changing pad. It also has metal feet on the bottom to protect the bottom material of the bag from wear and tear.

I asked for feedback from readers and was requested to add some things to my list of packing this week. So, my contents are:

  • 6 diaper changes
  • wet/dry bag
  • diaper cream
  • coconut oil
  • wipes case
  • changing pad
  • thermometer
  • infant’s Tylenol
  • mommy’s Advil
  • Band-Aids
  • nasal aspirator
  • spoon
  • glass food container
  • 10 ounce sippy cup
  • bib
  • bottle cooler
  • mommy’s water bottle
  • spare outfit
  • blankie

As always, I try to condense things as much as possible before packing. This helps keep things organized and makes it easier to put everything in its place. The insulated bottle holder that comes with this bag actually has a lot of room in it. It easily fit my 10 ounce sippy cup on the bottom and a 6oz baby food jar on the top, yet still cinches shut.

After condensing, things look a little less hectic. The included changing pad rolls up, the included zippered wet bag is great for coconut oil, diaper cream, and a small first aid kit.

This bag has two separate zippered compartments, making organization a breeze. The rear compartment has 3 separate sectioned areas and even elasticized pen holders. To the left, the included changing pad fits nicely when rolled up. In the center, the insulated bottle holder stands tall, the right compartment has plenty of space for the other essentials.

Even with a shopping bag, outfit change, bib, spoon, included wipes case, and included wet bag, the right side still has plenty of room for additional items on the top.

The front compartment features two elasticized pockets as well as a zippered pocket. The elasticized ones easily fit 2 pocket or all-in-one diapers, but I tend to keep other things in them so that they are handy when on the go like a blanket, book, and toys.

The zippered pocket is also great for stashing the removable stroller and shoulder straps, as well as a pacifier pocket.

There’s still a tremendous amount of room in this bag for diapers and a wet bag in the rest of the main compartment. I’ve been using a wet/dry bag for these demonstrations to show that no matter if diapers are clean or dirty, there will be room for them. Even with the diaper added, there’s a good three to four inches of space on the top for a light jacket or nursing cover.

This bag also has several front pockets: a large one on top, two medium on the bottom, and two small ones attached to the medium. There are also two elasticized side pockets–great for additional bottles and a water bottle for mom.

Even with the bag fully packed up, the large front pocket can easily fit a wallet with room for sunglasses on the top.

The medium front pockets are great for feminine products and a cell phone.

The smaller pockets are great for keys, change, or mints/gum.

OiOi paid a lot of attention to the details of this bag. From the realistic texture of the material to the smooth gliding of their zippers. Normally, I’m not a fan of chunky zippers. They always snag and seem difficult to work in a hurry. I was so impressed when I went to open this bag and it just glided along the track. I also love that the shoulder and stroller straps are removable and interchangeable.

I also really, really love the metal feet on the bottom of the bag. I use public transit a lot and the floors of the subways can be absolutely filthy. It’s nice to know that I can put this bag down on the grass or concrete and the bag will not get scuffed up on the bottom. It also helps to keep the material of the bag dry in case there’s a little dew still on a park bench.

All in all, this bag is pretty awesome! I think it would be great for a family with one child in cloth, or perhaps 2 with disposable diapers or two toddlers who need less changes. It has quite a bit of room in it, definitely living up to its name, and is very chic. The craftsmanship on this bag is impressive and I think at $170 it is a great buy, and a great gift idea with Mother’s Day right around the corner.
