As we approach the month of May, my favorite month of the spring season, I sit here lusting over thoughts of gorgeous sunshine and the greenery of the great outdoors. This week I am reviewing the Tag-A-Long Tote by timi & leslie. This bag screams outdoors to me- the name of the color is Serengeti, after all.
A few things have changed on my packing list this week. Most notably, I’ve opted to stop carrying coconut oil. While I love it, the temperature outside almost certainly causes it to liquify and it’s very messy. I’ve also used pocket diapers for this review because it was wash day. I can fit six changes with my hybrid diapers in the space of these five pockets. I tried to keep it fair in terms of space usage with this other system.

This bag comes with an awesome changing pad that has a pocket that perfectly fits wipes and diaper cream- two things that always seem to get buried in a bag, so I love that these stay handy. It also comes with a removable, adjustable cross-body strap with a neoprene lined cushion as well as removable stroller straps.
The changing pad easily packs away into the zippered pocket on the back of the bag. Alas, a changing pad that I may actually manage to not lose!
The inside of the bag is surprisingly very roomy. I was a little worried about it from the looks of the outside of the bag, but looks are certainly deceiving. This bag comes with seven interior pockets that are very spacious. It also features a clip at the top of the bag which is great for keeping a set of keys handy.
The interior zippered pocket is very deep. It actually fit my wallet, makeup bag, and the removeable straps from the bag and had some room to spare.
I altered my packing technique this week to match what a lot of my readers have shown me in their bags. So, stuffed in the interior pockets are the toys, blankie, first aid kit and outfit change. The diapers are then stood up and placed next to the shopping bag and wet/dry bag.
On top of everything, I put the sippy cup with the pacifier pocket, snack jar, bib, and spoon because my toddler is on a streak of screaming like a pterodactyl whenever he is hungry and having those handy makes my life a million times easier. You could certainly fit a small can of formula instead of mealtime accessories or even a small cooler of breast milk.
The front pockets of this bag are huge. My son is obsessed with a square board book that I can never seem to find a good place to put thanks to it’s dimensions. It actually fits in the front of this bag. The other pocket on the front has plenty of room for my accessories- sunglasses and cell phone.
The side pockets of this bag are insulated, great for ice water or keeping bottles chilled.
This bag was really impressive in terms of capacity. For under $100, it has plenty of great features. I’ve never had a situation where I’ve had more pockets than I needed. Usually I’m quite the opposite, struggling to find a place for everything. This time around, I was struggling to find a thing for every place. Timi & leslie is growing in popularity and I can certainly see why. This is such a great “little” bag. It’s also available in the color black.
